Variopeptyl ® (Triptorelin Acetate) 11.25 mg

Triptorelin is a GnRH agonist indicated for the palliative treatment of advanced prostate cancer in adult men, breast cancer and endometriosis in adult women, and for central precocious puberty in pediatrics.

Injectable Solution

Central Precocious Puberty: SC: 11.25 mg every 3 months or 3.75 mg every month.
Discontinue at the appropriate age of puberty onset.
Monitor LH levels beginning 1-2 months following therapy initiation, during therapy, and with each subsequent dose.
Measure height every 3-6 months; monitor bone age periodically.
Advanced Prostate Cancer: SC: 11.25 mg every 3 months or 3.75 mg every month.
Monitor serum testosterone and PSA levels.

Prostate Cancer (Adults):

>10%:

Endocrine & metabolic: Hot flash (59% to 73%), increased serum glucose

Hepatic: Increased serum alanine aminotransferase, increased serum aspartate aminotransferase, increased serum transaminases

Neuromuscular & skeletal: Skeletal pain (12% to 13%)

Renal: Increased blood urea nitrogen

Central Precocious Puberty (Children and Adolescents):

>10%:

Local: Erythema at injection site, pain at injection site

Nervous system: Headache

Respiratory: Nasopharyngitis

Corifollitropin Alfa: Avoid combination.
Hyperprolactinemic Agents: Avoid combination.
Indium 111 Capromab Pendetide: Avoid combination.
Amiodarone, Anagrelide, Dofetilide: Contraindicated due to increased toxicity by QTc interval.

Store at 2 - 8 °C (in refrigerator) in the carton to protect from light and do not freeze.
Keep out of the reach of children.
